Coach Andrew “Andy” Fiore grew up in Stafford and started swimming at Curtis Park at just seven years old. He joined the year-round team STAT at eleven and went on to rank on Virginia’s Top 10 list while setting multiple team records.

A four-year varsity swimmer and senior captain at Mountain View High School, Andy now competes for the University of Lynchburg, where he has earned All-Conference First Team honors, won silver in the 200 Butterfly, and set several school records. His specialty events include the 200 Fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM.

Andy has been coaching at Curtis Park since age twelve and loves helping swimmers grow in confidence and achieve their goals.

Outside the pool, he studies criminology with plans to become a detective and enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and (famously) eating huge portions of his mom’s homemade birthday pasta.

I’m excited to return to Curtis this year, but as the Assistant Coach! I’ve been part of the Curtis swimming community since I was about 8 or 9 years old, and the sport has been a huge part of my life ever since. I swam through high school, spent two years with RAYS, and now continue my swimming career at Randolph‑Macon. My favorite part of coaching is cheering on my swimmers and watching them grow throughout the summer. I bring the same energy I’ve always loved as a teammate: positivity, encouragement, and fun! Outside the pool, I love spending time with friends and family, and going to the beach. I’m also passionate about my major in nursing and enjoy anything crafty. I can't wait to see all the returning swimmers and get to know anyone who is new!
